=D> Just this afternoon, we have learned through our dean-Dr. Villareal that the Order of Asclepius will be awarded once again (for two years in a row) as the MOST OUTSTANDING ORGANIZATION AY2004-05 (nonacademic category). This adds another feather on our cap. CONGRATULATIONS!!! :thumb

Congratulations!!!
I'm not an OA, i quit the first round because I could not memorize the poem `Don't Quit.´ But well, congratulations!!! Keep Up!
We also tried to form an organization once, in our junior year, `Organisasyon ng mga Masarap Kumain sa Canteen´ (Ormacan)
It lasted only three days due to severe deficiency of ground philosophy.
Congrats again!

Congratulations OA. Well deserved :thumb .
I am not an OA, but most of my friends are. Please invite them here, wafu. This is the best place for you to communicate with your brods and sis from all over. And I am not saying that just because I maintain this Forum. I'd like to hear also from the likes of Gene Licup, Feman Autajay, Ryan Comuelo - all hard-core OA's during my time... .
BTW, I had a conversation recently with Tarek Albitar, another OA (and friend/classmate) from '92. He is now based in Michigan.
Keep up the good work.

I second RG's suggestion. Among members in the Philippines and around the world, this is the best place to communicate. In fact, RG has offered to give the organization a "private space." Take a look at the original offer:
I am not an Asclepian but I have high regards for Asclepians, Ike Lagon is our Maninoy sa kasal, and I know a lot of good people from Dumangas . Besides, I am a very generous man , I am willing to give you your own website and webspace for free. Your address may just be restricted (you choose), oa.wvsumedicine.org, asclepius.wvsumedicine.org, or whatever you want to put before wvsumedicine.org. If you have a member (student or alum) who knows FTP and basic HTML, you may want to consider this.
It doesn't come without stipulations though (sound more like incentives). I'll just ask for the following:
The site should be maintained by someone related to the College, student or alum, who will do it for free (I'll help). No outsourcing to outside designers who'll just make money off of your organization (and my webspace).
Link and use the existing site Forum. You have your own category already. Feel free to populate it. I don't set any limit. Encourage others to register. If possible, make all your discussions public. If you have private conversations, you can always use the Private Messaging feature to communicate privately. It's private, nobody can access it, not even me. To be sure, you can always delete private messages after you read them.
Link and use the existing site Photo Album. If you can upload 5 or more (yes, just 5) pictures to the "Roxas Hall..." category, I 'll create a separate category for you where you can post your medical missions, parties, inductions, what-have-you...
Site should be updated at least once every 2 weeks. If not possible, participation in the Forum will suffice .
Main site (wvsumedaa.com) should be prominently linked. Maybe in the banner, you can put something like, "Part of WVSU Medicine Global Community"
They are not that hard, aren't they? However, if you can't find a site-builder among yourselves, I can make a section for you on the main site, pretty much like the College page. I just don't want it to be stagnant. To be sure, you can always assign an on-line editor who will communicate regularly with me.
Using the site main features like the Forum, Album, Guestbook, lessens confusion and less pages to visit. You can put whatever you want to put on your front page without straying away from the community.
This invitation is also open to individual class...
The whole thread is here: http://www.wvsumedaa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=230
Does anyone want to take the challenge?
Again, congratulations everyone. Keep up the good work. :thumb
