ACE Trump Game. Remember this game with the so-called Super Trump? See photo below.

Yup, I agree about ACE trump cards. I used to have a collection of that when I was in High School. My first ever was the Tanks, then I had the Supercars, Formula 1, Rockets, Fighter planes of World War II, Battleships, Submarines, Military transport trucks, etc. I do still have a few left at home but I'm not sure if it is complete. I can remember saving my allowances so I can buy it from that then newly opened SM at Delgado St. Then came a time when cheap imitations came out from the sidewalks, then it became boring.

pusoy dos...:thumb

who can forget the male quarters "professional players" like gerry gomez, dendrites, jnicolo, val dabuco, "banloy", RG, rudy tupaz, feman autajay, doc buyco, myself included...

there was a time when the most coveted seat in the old male quarters is the pusoy dos table...you need to make rounds early, finished whatever you're doing so that you will have a place in that four sided table.:sneer:

there's a funny thing that happened when gerry gomez came in late and the table is occupied by val, joseph, dendrites, and banloy. so gerry was fuming mad because he cannot play, he went upstairs in the OR and saw me there. he ask me what val's rotation is and i told him ICU. "tonto ka val ay" as the typical gerry gomez was, he paged val to ICU stat so that he can sit there in the table...we were laughing watching val at the window of the old ICU as he was running to ICU...wala man to sa kinanglan kay break ya:sneer::sneer::sneer:

oh those were the days and sleepless nights, and blown allowances (dako man to pirde ko mo)...

You are right ICE, but partly wrong. The regular "Pusoy Dos Gang" were: Jerry G., Bebot B., You, Banlaoi and don't forget your good friend Docnick. I could not forget those sessions which usually lasted until around four-five in the morning> Our group were mostly "meron" all we can do were to make "kantiao". Our favorite card game that time was "in between" our motto and battlecry was "NO GUTS, NO GLORY - HAVE GUTS, NO MONEY"
I could not forget Pepsi A., betting and losing 500 Php without even looking at his cards. The pusoy dos gang were more serious but the in between gang was livelier. Feman A. was more into in between as I can recall. I hope we can have one of those again for old time sake. RG, how about that?

Remember sticking your two cards on your forehead, so the others can see and betting without really looking at your own cards. The bets or pot money went up as high as one to two thousand pesos. It was tense, but really fun. I still laugh, recalling those crazy stuffs we did. Hope to do it again someday.

Pusoy Dos was fun except the second-hand smoke...

Maybe during the reunion, you can have a "Pusoy Dos" booth, 3 to 4 tables for reminiscing and fund-raising  ... And all the old-timers come back to play in high-stakes games... :thumb

We should bring this up to the Alumni Board. A possible basketball reunion game and a possible "pusoy dos" tournament. :D

And how should we call the "pusoy dos" tournament in English? Poker TWOurnament?

Hi guys,
I would like to have those pusoy dos tournament but our version of the "in-between"(or I think you call it Red dog there) game would be more fun. Imagine betting, without even looking at your cards. You base your bet on the facial expressions of you opponents. :thumb :sneer: :brows:

Poker Face... Extreme!! :thumb

If you want to be discreet about it (some people frowns at gambling), you can use a function room somewhere instead of booths (kay daw open gid  ). Priority players should be the certified pusoy dos group, Nicolo, etc. And this should be pure fund-raising. Daw sweepstakes bala haw a  .
