RG, these patients come in via regular commercial flights. We see cases in Continental Airlines most commonly. The patients are to be further evaluated and managed in the Philippines. For instance, Patient #5 needs to see a retina specialist.

Hello Errol,
You are welcome.
I make to a point to read your articles. It gives me some idea on what is going on in our country, the Philippines from a different perspective and point of view, like yours. I am still interested on the health and health related issue in our country of which your article presentation covered.
Keep up the good work and your tenacity on such issues mentioned.
Hope to see you. If you will be in the US for a training let me know. I am here in Birmingham, Alabama.
Sincerely,

Gabriel J. Sapalaran, Jr. RN

Errol, those 7 patients present interesting clinical scenarios. They would have been great for PBL or CPC. I got ideas how to go about their work up and differential diagnoses stream thru my mind reading the brief history given. Interesting indeed.

DocDan, they are indeed interesting cases for discussion in PBL and CPC. If medical tourism continues to grow in the Philippines, perhaps in the future, WVSU Medical Center could also be a partner in the workup and management of these types of cases.
