Two new books are available at your local bookstores (currently available in the Philippines only) written by WVSU College of Medicine alumni. The Nurse Is In, written by Patricio Clavecillas (Class 2002), walks you through the process of starting a new career in the U.S., from taking the necessary examinations, immigration, to buying your first home. A Road Less Travelled After Medical School, by Errol Casiano (Class 2000), is a compilation of the columns and blogs he wrote here at medskul.com. The book chronicles his experiences working in the corporate world.

Dear fellow doctors,
The department of surgery of WVSUMC would like to thank you for the surgical supplies you have sent us. All of these stuff will be of great help to our charity cases here. At present, we have increased number of beds at the SLR serving 60 patients. The first batch of goods you have sent us was put to good use and a lot of our indigent patients benefitted from them. We are very grateful of your deeds. We hope that God will bless you in return.
If it's not too much to ask from you guys, we would like to request from you old books and journals that you might just be throwing away. Mahal daan ang international/internet subscription . With the fast advancement of technologies, the residents would like to be abreast with trends from abroad. Thanks for all the help you have extended to the West Visayas State University family...
